The toddler age group is a diverse one, and each child is different. We recognize and encourage these differences, and our toddler teaching team’s practice a variety of strategies that allow for each child to begin defining his/her own sense of independence while dependent on the adults caring for and teaching him/her. We introduce the children to circle time (learning opportunity through finger plays, nursery rhymes, songs, and more). Our toddler classrooms follow a daily routine that is consistent yet flexible. The children quickly learn to anticipate what will come next in their day and begin to demonstrate initiative.

 

Our 2 year olds are encouraged to express their individual interests through interactions with each other and through hands-on environmental experiences. Our staff encourage emergent communication skills by engaging the children in conversations, and helping to resolve conflicts peacefully. Classroom teachers provide the children in their care with theme-based activities and center based classrooms that are rich in literature. Independent skills are fostered throughout the day with emphasis on daily living skills like using the bathroom and meal times.

These years are widely recognized as providing the foundation for lifelong learning. Children develop significantly in their physical, social emotional and cognitive areas during these years. The adults in their lives and environment influence all of these areas. At Trinity play is promoted as the major vehicle for learning. Children’s self-expression is encouraged in our music, art, dramatic play, library, block, writing, and science centers. Classrooms are rich with literacy and in numeracy, continually emphasizing preparation for upcoming school years. Teachers provide developmentally appropriate lesson plans with emphasis on emergent curriculum. This assists with the development of self-help skills and a respect for others and materials. Self-worth is gained as a child successfully masters age appropriate tasks.

Children are naturally talented and naturally curious.  At Trinity’s Learning Academy our preschool programs put our child’s talent and curiosity together with skilled teachers who will help them to be all that they can be.  We understand that every child is unique – a masterpiece with their own way of exploring and learning. Supporting children according to their individual strengths and interests makes all the difference, to you and your child.  There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing a child’s face light up when they learn something new and exciting.  The look in their eyes, the smile on their face, this is why our preschool programs exist.  Children are never too young to have their curiosity nurtured by teachers who understand the science of how they learn best – at their own pace, according to their own interests.  They want to explore their world with real people and real objects, engaging in meaningful work and play. Especially, children learn best through play.  Preschool Programs at Trinity support children in developing a love of learning that will last their entire lives. Our Learning Academy run Monday-Friday from 8:00-3:00, care can be provided before and after school care at $6.50 an hour.  

 

Trinity Child Care provides an engaging learning environment for your School Age student. Even when school is not in session, children need to be actively engaged in a stimulating learning environment. We offer a safe, structured environment that balances learning and fun. Our programs offer enrichment opportunities, engaging learning centers, and opportunities to extend learning beyond the school day. From completing homework to fun physical activities, this program builds independent learners while promoting youth voice. We will provide Before School care Monday – Friday during the school year from 5:30 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. and After School care will be provided from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In the mornings they play and then are escorted to the bus stop, feel free to send them in with breakfast items. After school they can have snack time and are encouraged to complete homework and then play till their parent arrives.
